StoryWalk

Go on a Reading Adventure at Sunset Park

StoryWalk is a fun, safe, and educational activity for all ages, located at 655 Sunset Drive. It features pages from a children’s book displayed in numbered signs along a paved, half-mile accessible path. The journey begins at the toddler playground, passes over two bridges, and provides about 15 minutes of walking and reading in the fresh air. Each panel includes activity prompts and literacy tips in English and Spanish!

Sedona Public Library posts a new story four times a year, at the beginning of each season. For information on current displays, contact the Youth Services Department at 928-282-7714, ext. 8119.

Sedona Public Library offers take-home StoryWalk kits with stories that have been featured at the park. Each story is contained in a large plastic tote and includes individually laminated pages of an entire storybook. The 18 laminated posters can be set up indoors or outdoors, and clips for hanging them are also available to check out. Children and adults can read the story and enjoy the activities/literacy tips on each poster at home, preschools, and other locations.

For more information, please contact the youth services department, 928-282-7714, ext. 8119.
