Steam Kits for Checkout

Steam kits are perfect for parents, grandparents, teachers, learning pods, and homeschoolers looking for hands-on educational materials for children! Each themed kit contains books, games, activity resources, and learning materials for families to explore at home. Check out our collection of kits in the catalog here.

Sedona Public Library (main location) has a variety of Steam Kits available. You’ll find engaging themes like bird watching, astronomy, the human body, geology, physics, chemistry, music, and more!  

  • Steam Kits can be borrowed with a valid Sedona Library card.
  • The loan period is 3 weeks. 
  • Steam Kits can be checked out in Youth Services at Sedona Public Library’s main location, and must be returned there.
  • Only 1 bin can be checked out at a time.

At SPL (main location), Penworthy Steam-to-Go Kits are available for checkout. They come in easily transportable bags and explore subjects such as phonics, math, science, emotions, and more!

  • Penworthy Steam-to-Go Kits can be borrowed with a valid Sedona Library card.
  • The loan period is 3 weeks. 
  • Kits checked out at SPL must be checked out and returned at the Youth Services Desk at SPL.
  • More than 1 bag can be checked out at a time.

STEAM kits and STEAM programming are supported by the Arizona State Library, Archives & Public Records, a division of the Secretary of State, with federal funds from the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
